Praha 1 sobě – Results for Prague
We are Praha 1 sobě and the Greens, neighbours from the centre of Prague who want a sustainable, transparent, community-oriented, liveable and authentic city centre.

Currently, we serve in the opposition on the municipal district council and we are running in the municipal elections in October 9 and 10, 2026.
Our candidate for mayor is Pavel Marc
Pavel is a successful lawyer from Nové Město. Pavel has lived in Prague 1 for more than 25 years and has raised two children here. As chair of a homeowners‘ association, he successfully defended his building on Klimentská Street against short-term rental use through legal battles. Since 2022, he has served as an opposition councillor. He is now running for mayor to end years of stagnation and backroom dealing in Prague 1, together with a team of capable and educated people.

Praha Sobě is running in the same elections for Prague City Hall
Our candidate for mayor of Prague is Adam Scheinherr. As Deputy Mayor of the City of Prague for Transport from 2018 to 2023, he successfully prepared and delivered hundreds of projects practically from scratch.

Adam launched the construction of metro line D and numerous tram lines. He brought the preparation of the Troja and Štvanice footbridges and the Dvorecký Bridge to completion. He tackled the reconstruction of the Barrandov Bridge, which everyone had been afraid of and had been putting off for decades. He handed over to his successor projects ready for construction worth more than 20 billion crowns.
Please vote for Praha Sobě in October — both for City Hall and for the municipal district. Thank you!

As Praha 1 sobě and the Greens, we are ready to deliver concrete results
- A dignified place to live: We will push for clear rules to make the city centre fairer to those who actually live here.
- Quality public space: We want to invest in improving the environment we all move through — from safe school streets to senior-friendly solutions and the renewal and planting of greenery.
- The centre is not a car park for commuters. Fewer cars that don’t belong here means not only better parking for residents, but also cleaner air and better public space.
- A friendly and open city hall. We will communicate with citizens openly and honestly. We will strengthen civic participation.
Unlike other parties, we don’t stop at promises. We already have results for Prague 1 to show for our work. Thanks to Praha sobě’s presence at the City Hall, Smetanovo nábřeží has been restored and Wenceslas Square is now being lifted out of neglect. Yet repairs to Kampa, Palach Square and Malostranské náměstí remain nothing but promises. We will invest every year in beautifying streets and squares — not tourist boulevards, but the places where people actually live.
Prague 1 has exceptional revenues. It holds 3.3 billion crowns in its bank accounts, of which 1.5 billion is available for new projects. Yet the current leadership, built on a grand coalition of opportunists, is unable to turn these enormous resources into improvements for all of us. We want to change this stangnation!

We succeeded in removing problematic tourist restaurant terraces, including on Malé náměstí and Old Town Square. Remember the beer bikes or the tasteless giant pandas on Old Town Square? They disappeared thanks to us. The resolution against tourist scooters was also our initiative. We want Prague 1 to be a dignified home. We will enforce night-time quiet, end tourist businesses in city-owned properties, and clean up outdoor advertising.

We built new pedestrian crossings near Malostranská Beseda and the National Museum, and secured wider, safer public transport stops at Staroměstská and Malostranská. That is how we intend to run city hall. And we haven’t forgotten about parking: streets should not be car parks and cut-throughs for non-residents. We will give them back to the people who live here.

We saved a maple tree on Smetanovo nábřeží from being felled and are pushing for pavement repairs across Prague 1. We won’t lose that eye for detail when running city hall either. We will plant trees and greenery in the streets, ensure thorough cleaning, open the Loreta Garden to the public, and extend the opening hours of parks and playgrounds.
